I had turned my car over to seed, and they had started to do work on my car. It started by undoing everything I did, and did it much more professionally then me, in the engine compartment at least.
That is the turbo going back in. Notice the intake manifold being pulled to support the replacing of the oil feed line, as well as the injector install.
That's the intake manifold off for cleaning and injector replacement. Remember I ordered the wrong downpipe? Here is the fix. They fabricated a new flange:
Not pretty, but does the job as intended, and saving me some money. After the fabrication was finished, it was easy work for the pros at Seed racing. Here is some of the finished product. From the bottom:
So of the detail shots from their work:
Here is final tuning being conducted.
The Finished product:
And finally brought her home to my apartment, and the Scooby to it's home, a mechanical parking spot.
This is the payoff, me driving the car out in the wild. This is a typical Saturday night in the mountains in Japan. The driver in front of me has much more experience, and is better all around then me.... but I still did okay I think.
The uphill portion is the actual run. It starts around 6:15

I find I actually going to car meets there, a lot more then going to "Import" meets here. The guy driving the NSX will compliment the guy with a stockish civic with just basic bolt ons or a body kit. My first experience back stateside was going to a car meet, and complimenting a guy on his NSX, saying that the installed water to air intercooler was an elegant solution to the problem of getting cool air to his supercharger.... He took a look at my clapped out beater red miata... and looked at me like I was scum. The whole competition between car people when it doesn't involve racing or driving fast baffles me.

Thats a good example. I am on speedhunters all the time and they have articles weekly that take place at a certain spot in Tokyo. The shows are of a different style/era/import/domestic every week and I think it is awesome. I love the fact that there is so much variety there. There is no sense to limiting ones self to only a specific type of car or driving style. I love everything and am the guy who will enjoy damn near every car at a show for its own reason.

Daikoku futo was always the center of everything. However, a lot of the car clubs are moving the the hinterlands because the police are cracking down.
